Dr. Prince T. Chan is a board
certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand and
microvascular surgery. He is a 1993 graduate of the Indiana University School
of Medicine and a five year orthopaedic residency at the St. Louis University
School of Medicine. Dr. Chan holds a fellowship in Hand Reconstruction and
Microvascular Surgery from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Chan
and the other physicians at Kansas Orthopaedic Center offer expertise in
general orthopaedics and in a broad range of orthopaedic subspecialities. To
Dr. Chan, developing a healthy and trusting Patient-Physician relationship is
important. He feels it is important to educate and provide patients with
information concerning their diagnoses and all avenues of treatment options
with the expected results and outcomes. Through communication and by taking
time to listen to patients, an optimal treatment plan can be established. Dr.
Chan serves on the staffs of Via Christi Health System, Wesley Medical Center
and Riverside Health System. Dr. Chan holds numerous professional
associations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American
Medical Association, Kansas Medical Society and the Medical Society of
Sedgwick County. He has also published numerous articles on orthopaedics.
Away from the office. Dr. Chan enjoys spending time with his wife, Jeannie,
sons and daughter. He enjoys playing golf and
tennis. Dr. Chan also has an artistic side which is displayed through his
talent at drawing and painting as well as playing the piano and violin.
