Dr. Robert Cusick is a board
certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacements and
arthroscopy of the knee. Dr. Cusick received his medical degree from the University
of Illinois College of Medicine in Urbana, IL. After completing a five-year
orthopaedic residency program at the University of Kansas
School of Medicine in Wichita, he continued his postgraduate training with a
one-year fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at the Institute for Bone
and Joint Surgery in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Cusick had been practicing at Kansas
Joint and Spine Institute for 11 years before deciding to join Kansas
Orthopaedic Center. By joining KOC, Dr. Cusick feels he is able to provide
patients with an
expertise and a team approach across a broad spectrum of orthopaedic
treatment.
Dr. Cusick serves on the staffs of
Via Christi Health System, Wesley Medical Center, Kansas Surgery and Recovery
Center, and Surgery Center of Kansas. He is also on the teaching faculty of
the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.
He holds numerous professional associations including the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons, Past President of the
Kansas Orthopaedic Society, Mid-Central States Orthopaedic Society, Medical
Society of Sedgwick County, and Kansas Joint Research Institute.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cusick
enjoys spending quality time with his family. He also enjoys recreational
hockey, golf, traveling and spending time outdoors.
