Dr. Kris Lewonowski is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the spine as well as total joint implant surgery.

After earning a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in
Little Rock, Dr. Lewonowski completed an internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles.

He then completed two fellowships with internationally known surgeons – one in total joint replacement in
Los Angeles and one in spine surgery in both London and Nottingham, England.

To Dr. Lewonowski, the patient always comes first. He believes in getting to know the patient as a person and feels that patients should get to know him as well. He uses a team approach that requires close interaction with the physician, the staff, consulting physicians and the patient.

Dr. Lewonowski serves on the staffs of Via Christi Health System,
Wesley Medical Center, and Surgery Center of Kansas. He also participates in the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Training Program in Wichita.

Dr. Lewonowski holds numerous professional associations, including the American Medical Association,
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Kansas Medical Society and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County.

Away from the office, Dr. Lewonowski enjoys spending time with his children Chasen and Megan. He also pursues a wide variety of interests including running, weight training, research, and surfing the Internet.
