Dr. David McQueen is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement. Dr. McQueen received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara
in Mexico. Returning stateside, he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. He continued his postgraduate medical education as
the M.A.C. fellow in Total Joint Replacement at the University of Colorado in Denver.
From July 2001 through March 2011, Dr. McQueen was the Program Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Program at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and continues
his involvement as a clinical professor. Dr. McQueen is the Medical Director of the Orthopaedic Research Institute and a Board Member of the Via Christi Research Institute. From January 2002 through
August 2011, he was a partner of Kansas Joint and Spine Institute.
An active and well-respected researcher in the field of joint replacement, Dr. McQueen has had numerous articles published and has shared the results of his research through professional
presentations both in the United States and abroad. His area of current research interest is in computerized Total Joint Arthroplasty. He is dedicated to patient education and helping patients maintain quality of life.
A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. McQueen belongs to several prestigious professional organizations including the Association for Arthritic Hip and Knee
Surgery, the American Medical Association, and is an elected member of the American Orthopaedic Association. He is also a member of the Kansas Medical Society and the Medical Society of
Sedgwick County. He also serves on the staff at Via Christi Health System, Wesley Medical Center, Kansas Surgery and Recovery Center, and Surgery Center of Kansas.
Outside of his work, Dr. McQueen enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling various places with his wife.
