Dr. Moskowitz is an internationally recognized, board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in spine surgery. Dr. Moskowitz received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. He also completed three years of orthopaedic residency at Albany Medical College and a one year pediatric residency at Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in Philadelphia, PA. He continued his post-graduate training with a fellowship in spine deformities at the Twin Cities Scoliosis Center in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Moskowitz had been in practice for 23 years in Albany, NY, and 11 years at Kansas Joint and Spine Institute before deciding to join Kansas Orthopaedic Center.

Since 1978, Dr. Moskowitz has devoted his career to patients needing simple and complex spine care and has been involved in all major advances in spine surgery. He specializes in common spinal disorders including degenerative disc disease, herniated disks, spinal stenosis and low back pain. He also has vast experience in spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis in children and adults and especially complex reconstructive spine surgery. He treats structural imbalance of the spine caused by spinal trauma or spinal tumors.

He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. He shows his commitment to teaching the spinal community as well as orthopaedic residents by lecturing and teaching spine surgical techniques, both nationally and internationally. He has been chairman of an international spine teaching conference held annually since 2003 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Park City, Utah.

A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Moskowitz belongs to several prestigious professional organizations including the Scoliosis Research Society and the North American Spine Society. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association, an orthopaedic honor society.
