Dr. Heady is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. After receiving bachelor's and master's degrees in physics from Kansas State University and the California Institute of Technology, he went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita in 1996. He then completed a five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. Dr. Heady completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Dr. Heady feels his role in caring for the patient is to accurately diagnose the patient’s condition so that he may educate and guide the patient in making the best treatment choices based on the available medical information along with the patient’s personal needs.
Dr. Heady is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Kansas Medical Society and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County. Dr. Heady is also a Clinical Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.
